Most of my day is spent making sure what we promise actually shows up in the work. I care about the details other people skip, because that is usually where trust is won or lost.
Compliance programs fail quietly. A record is accurate the day it is filed and then the systems move, and nobody notices until somebody asks a question it cannot answer. Preventing that is less about any single document than about whether there is a real operating rhythm behind it, with someone accountable when something drifts.
The part of this I find genuinely interesting is the overlap. An organization that owes something federally and something commercially is usually documenting the same control twice, in two places, because two different teams own it. Collapsing that into one record is where most of the wasted effort in this field disappears.
